Private Music Lesson Policy | Christian Pawola Music

Welcome to my studio! This agreement ensures a consistent, high-quality learning experience and predictable scheduling for everyone.

1. Monthly Tuition & Billing

Flat-Rate System: Tuition is a flat $140 per month, paid in advance on the 1st of each month.
What is Covered: This flat rate guarantees your dedicated weekly 30-minute time slot on the schedule.
The 5th-Week "Bonus Holiday": Tuition is calculated based on a 4-week month. In months that naturally contain a 5th week, the studio will be closed for a Bonus Holiday week. No lessons are held, and tuition remains exactly the same. Enjoy the week off to practice!

2. Attendance & Cancellations

Student Absences: Because your tuition secures a specific, permanent time slot, no refunds or credits are given for student-missed lessons.
Notice Requirement: If you must miss a lesson, please provide 24 hours' notice. With notice, I will do my best to offer a digital makeup video or re-schedule your lesson, though makeups are not guaranteed.
Teacher Absences: If I must cancel a lesson due to illness or an emergency, I will provide a makeup credit, reschedule the lesson, or issue a refund for that specific class.

3. Materials & Practice

Instruments: Students must have a working, tuned instrument at home for daily practice (Piano/Keyboard, Guitar, or Ukulele).
Music Books: Students are responsible for purchasing required method books or theory materials, which I will recommend based on their goals.

4. Online Lesson Requirements (If Applicable)

Students choosing online lessons must have a reliable internet connection, a quiet space free of distractions, and a device positioned so I can clearly see their hands and instrument.
